Not doctor’s orders GPs hold firm on exemption letters
Irish doctors are refusing to give people exemptions from wearing masks, saying the risks from Covid-19 of going without one are too high.
HSE guidelines say that all adults, except those with special needs or breathing problems, should wear a mask, but confusion arose when it emerged one patient was advised by the HSE to complain about her GP to the Medical Council because she was refused an exemption.
